World Theatre Day is observed internationally on 27th March every year. It was initiated in 1962 by International Theatre Institute. This day is celebrated to mark the importance of theatre.
Theatre is a form of performing art which uses live performers to present enactment of a real or imagined event at a specific place, usually a stage.
The significance of Theatre lies in the fact that it allows the creativity in an individual to flourish and also develops the power to express oneself. It lessens the stress and also motivates us to be creative by inculcating laughter and humour in the process of learning.
